On February 18, a five-member delegation led by Professor Zhang Changzheng, Associate Dean of Business School, visited the Banking Institute of Laos. The delegation was jointly received by three Vice Presidents of the institute: Phonesavanh Khamphavong, Sompasong Phommasane, and Sengphet Douangphila. During the meeting, both sides introduced the latest developments of their respective institutions and held extensive discussions on talent cultivation, faculty and student exchanges, curriculum development, and scientific research collaboration. They also exchanged views on key issues including joint applications for research funding, establishment of collaborative research bases and platforms, as well as faculty academic qualification enhancement and short-term training programs.
This visit not only strengthened the cooperative relationship between Hohai University and the Banking Institute of Laos, but also provided more international learning and research opportunities for faculty and students from both institutions, further promoting educational exchanges and collaboration between China and Laos. In the future, both sides will continue to enhance communication, implement cooperative projects, and jointly contribute to regional economic development and talent cultivation in the Lancang-Mekong region.
Professor Huang Yongchun, Director of the Office of Social Sciences at Hohai University, Professor Zhang Hengjie, Associate Dean of Business School, as well as department heads of Accounting, Finance, and other relevant divisions from the Banking Institute of Laos also attended the meeting.
